The Boeri winery was established in the early 1900s when the great-grandfather of the current owners, Alfonso Boeri, began cultivating vines on the Bricco Quaglia hillside. His son Giovanni and grandson of the same name Alfonso have passed down the passion for this work that is as tiring as it is satisfying and exciting.
Giorgio and Roberto Boeri, sons of Alfonso, grandson of the winery's founder, took the reins of the business in 1998 and decided to make wine from the best grapes while keeping the brand.The first wine of the new generation is Barbera d'Asti Superiore Pörlapà, made with grapes from a vineyard planted in 1936.
From the first 4,000 bottles, produced in 2001, the winery has always shown steady growth and increased interest from foreign markets. Encouraged by this success, the winery began vinifying all the grapes produced in the vineyards in newly planted ones focused not only on traditional Barbera but also Moscato, Chardonnay and lastly Nebbiolo.
Boeri wines have been on the Asian market since 2005 and on the U.S. market since 2006. Today, however, it successfully exports to 30 states between Europe, Asia and America.
