In addition to producing an excellent extra-virgin olive oil, Alessandro Fedele's farm is committed to improving those aspects related to proper communication of the olive oil supply chain and to raising awareness of the Calabrian territory.

The extra virgin olive oil supply chain, especially organic olive oil, has always suffered numerous attacks and lacks strong credibility. Oil, unlike wine, for several years has had a marginal space in food and wine communication and appeal to consumers. The various scandals that have reached the headlines have weakened and altered the perception about Italian oil in terms of the relationship between "made in Italy and quality."

The main objective was to create a complete and transparent traceability system that could guarantee clear information to the consumer about all stages of the Alaric supply chain and the characteristics of the area.

Challenges

Alarico was looking for a solution that could reduce, in an innovative and digital way, the information gap between the company and its customers in order to ensure immediate accessibility to data and essential stages of the supply chain at any time. A thoughtful choice in order to also improve trust towards the brand and promote the territory of the Borghi di Altomonte, Cosenza and tell the legend of King Alaric, a historical figure after whom the company is named.
