Our journey with Pastificio Mancini began in 2020 when the company decided to make the traceability events of its products transparent to all its customers.

The well-known pasta company from the Marche region of Italy has used Trusty to fully automate the process of entering information into the platform for all pasta formats produced. This automation, carried out using Trusty APIs, has allowed the pasta factory to:

  • Save on personnel costs;
  • Zeroing in on human errors from manual input;
  • Strengthen the commercial network;
  • Increasing consumer confidence.

The integration process between APIs and Industry 4.0 machinery has resulted in a smooth and fully tracked process. Every day, Mancini's database downloads the batches produced the previous day and, after transforming them into Trusty's data model, feeds them back into the platform's database using the appropriate API. Once the information has been entered, it is made public and accessible via a QR-Code link. This is printed on the pasta package by a machine that can connect to Mancini's management system to retrieve the information on the production batch and affix the appropriate QR-Code returned by the Trusty platform through the same API.

This means that integration takes place both from the point of view of communication from Mancini's database to Trusty, and from Trusty to the machinery used by Mancini in the production process.

The pasta factory has also managed to give new value to the QR Code by using it as a tool to support its sales network . The possibility to scan it in real time during the negotiation phase, allows the customer to immediately verify the truthfulness and transparency of the supply chain, increasing the confidence in the product and, consequently, the chances to start a collaboration with Mancini.

A fundamental tool for a brand that really cares about its consumers who, by framing the Qr code affixed to the packet of pasta purchased, can learn about all the stages of processing the product and the history of Pastificio Mancini.
